Happy Friday! It’s time for another project reveal. We worked on our 3rd and 4th X-Golf locations most recently, and are gearing up for our 5th! The Blaine and Champlin locations opened up this past winter and are awaiting your visit!
While keeping the X-Golf brand identity, these two locations boast industrial and modern vibes. Both sites have their own unique look. At X-Golf Champlin, it’s a bit more industrial. At X-Golf Blaine, it has a downtown feel with brick in the bar area, argyle wallpaper, and very high ceilings. At both locations, one of the extremely handy and talented owners added wood features which elevated and warmed up the spaces. Up first is X-Golf Champlin – check it out below!
X-GOLF CHAMPLIN
Right when you walk in, the space is open and inviting. The owners had furniture picked out prior to our involvement and went with a grassy green vinyl. We incorporated industrial light fixtures with brass and black, and painted the exposed ceilings black. The bar fascia is made up of a textural gray tile from The Tile Shop, from the Annie Selke collection. Throughout the space, you will see that everything was kept clean and simple.
One of our favorite features is the checkered tile backsplash in the bar area, which was sourced from Cle Tile.
Wallpaper was added to a gaming area, the bathrooms and an additional seating area. We incorporated golf-inspired artwork, vintage clubs, and pieces that had been collected by the owner and golf pro. The ship art piece was done by the golf professional’s grandfather. We combined classic and vintage elements with modern throughout the space. We “scored” with the perfect golf scene wallpaper that is found in one of the bathrooms.
We used local company, Woodchuck USA for the custom walnut X-Golf signage which we LOVE, and incorporated thrift store accessory finds in areas. We also added some humor (see below).
X-GOLF BLAINE
The brick wall adds to the coziness of this X-Golf location’s bar and invites in not just the golfers, but anyone who wants to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Located in the Northtown Mall, it’s easily accessible! The bar fascia was done by the owner. So impressive!
There is a cozy seating area for those waiting for their tee time, or just wanting a break. The argyle wallpaper and wood wall go beautifully together along with the chandelier. We are digging the pop of green from the sofas, too!
The argyle wallpaper and wood walls continue in the back area with black and white golf art and pops of gold. We found some fun vintage prints of old-school golf carts and vintage clubs to add some color and fun to the walls. We carried the puns over to this location as well.
As you may know, we love our fun bathrooms! Thibaut wallpaper was added with a classic white field tile, and stone-like gray floor tile. We added industrial black grab bars instead of your boring silver ones, and added golf-themed prints.
As always, we had a blast working on two more X-Golf locations. Go and check out your nearest X-Golf! In Minnesota, there are locations in Woodbury, Champlin, and Blaine. For more information about X-Golf, click here.
Have a fantastic weekend!
