Modern European Charm
Our clients envisioned a warm, modern home with European charm, layered textures, and thoughtful functionality throughout. We created a cohesive design by blending natural stone, bold color moments, and timeless lighting with comfortable, livable materials. The great room and entryway set the tone with custom millwork, a stone fireplace, and detailed wall molding, while the kitchen features a custom stone range hood, warm wood cabinetry, and a highly functional walk-in pantry.
Throughout the main level, we reimagined everyday spaces for beauty and purpose—from the mudroom and powder bath to the bold four season porch and slatted-wall office across the hall. The lower level was designed for both play and practicality, incorporating sport court access, a home gym, a full bar with a wine wall, shuffleboard, a game table, and a cozy entertainment area with built-in cabinetry and plaid carpet. A flexible craft room with a rolling worktable and Murphy bed adds additional functionality for guests or work-from-home days.
The primary suite leans serene with earthy greens and soft neutrals, while secondary bedrooms and baths feature bold wallpaper and playful tile for added personality. Partnering with Kootenia Builders, we brought our clients’ vision to life—creating a home that feels elevated yet approachable, modern yet comfortable, and beautifully tailored to the way they live.

Incredible. Collaborative. Timeless.
Where do we start! We had an incredible experience working with Amy and the Interior Impressions team through two phases of our home build: 1.) interior/exterior finish selections 2.) interior decorating & furnishing services.
From the very start, Amy truly listened to us and took our mood boards and vision seriously and helped bring our ideas to life in ways that felt both authentic and elevated. Having the team as a sounding board while building a custom home made the process so much faster and smoother. My husband and I both work full time, so having Amy as an extension of us was invaluable. She brought expertise, creativity, and structure to what could have been an overwhelming process.
Re: Amy’s collaborative, transparent, solution-oriented approach. We would share our inspiration boards, and she would curate several thoughtful options for us to review. Our design sessions were productive and fun, typically a few hours at their beautiful studio, and never felt rushed, stressful, or overwhelming. When we had in-person meetings with different vendors (e.g. lighting, plumbing, countertops, tile etc.), Amy would join to offer her expertise and ensure we were met with the highest quality products. She was transparent and respectful of our budget, always letting us know when we were nearing certain thresholds so we could make adjustments with confidence…or if we wanted to splurge in one area, she’d help us make thoughtful decisions to offset in others.
On the design front, Amy/Interior Impressions has partnerships with high-quality, design-forward brands that make such an “impression”, matching the exact styles we reflected in our vision boards. The end result is a home that feels like us.
Now that our project is complete, I find myself looking for new ways to work with Amy and the Interior Impressions team again. They turned the house we built into a home, and we could not be happier! Highly recommend.
