CLASSIC COASTAL

This project was so much fun! Our clients were really ready to update their upper level and were very easy going and open to our ideas for redesigning their bedrooms and bathrooms. With their 2 boys now in college, they wanted to make the bedrooms and bathroom a little more “grown-up”. Their primary bedroom and bathroom was always a neglected space and it was time for them to have a beautiful retreat at the end of the day. They also wanted to update their main entrance and the stairway, since that was a big focal point when you entered their home. Our clients love the water and spend a lot of their time boating on the river in Minnesota, and now spend part of the year living in sunny Florida on the ocean. They wanted their home to reflect some of the things they love, but without being too “theme-y” of a coastal look. We decided that we would keep a very classic and timeless look, in keeping with the architecture of their home, but also bring in a waterfront vibe to re-create the restful and serene feeling that a great beach vacation brings.
