Powder rooms are great for showcasing your daring side of style. Since these rooms are small, quaint, and often overlooked, use this space as an opportunity to take risks. Get inspired; see how to make a statement with examples below.
WHIMSICAL WALLPAPER
Whether you want to add some subtle glam or texture to your powder room, play around with wallpaper options.
This powder room combines an elegant wallpaper pattern with a neutral palette and a classic, gorgeous vanity with a marble top. The mixed metals between the vintage mirror, chrome sconce lighting, and hardware are simply sophisticated in this stunning bathroom.
This is a gorgeous modern, art-deco inspired powder room. The blue patterned wallpaper is just bold enough with an authentic, hand-painted look. Paired with gold hardware, clean lines, and beautiful modern sconces, this powder room is dynamite.
How amazing is this wallpaper? We wanted to keep it whimsical with a vintage flair, and played upon that. We found this pretty vintage print wallpaper with subtle colors including soft purples, yellows, and grays.
If you are ready to get glam, find a bold and fun wallpaper pattern, such as this one and add some chandeliers with bling and pizazz. The rich hardwood flooring warms up this fresh traditional room with beautiful details such as the chrome hardware, and intricate vanity with a marble countertop. Styled and designed by yours truly!
SHIP GOALS
Shiplap is beautiful, clean, and a simple way to add interest to any room, just ask Joanna Gaines!
Shiplap is added halfway up the wall to provide contrast, dimension, and cohesiveness with the neutrals. The bold navy paint was a wonderful choice, as it pairs beautifully with the bright, white aesthetic.
Another great shiplap install, a bit further up the wall this time. Tied in with a beautiful, natural wood vanity and a soft bluish green paint, providing a fresh traditional/farmhouse look. Love the popping black hardware in this room as well as the vintage touches such as the metal waste basket.
BOLD VANITIES
Make a statement with a unique, bold vanity. If you want to keep the walls clean and neutral, jazzing up the room with a cool vanity is a great option!
The grand limestone countertop and drop-in sink shines with a beautiful arabesque tile backdrop. The dark hardware, grey walls, white tile, and brass sconce lighting… I’m in love!
Beautiful, beautiful blues. This adorable, possibly repurposed blue vanity is made glamorous by brass vintage-style knobs, faucets, and this dainty wallpaper with gold beetles and polka dots, how cute! Also, I am sensing a pattern here… a strong love for noteworthy sconce lights.
WINNING WITH WAINSCOTING
Wainscoting provides an elegant, sophisticated look and you can play with the paint color to cater to your style.
Creamy white wainscoting turns a basic powder room into an upscale retreat. The grasscloth wallpaper makes this powder room even more elegant, along with the timeless vanity and delicate sconces.
Gray envy flows through our veins when looking at this stunning powder room. An antique style gray sink, custom mirrored medicine cabinet, and beautiful gray wainscoting and trim have us swooning over this room. Just look at those sleek, chrome sconces, too…simply gorgeous.
FLOOR FLAIR
If you have been eyeing that Moroccan tile for too long, but have refrained from committing because of cost, tiling your powder room is a perfect excuse. You can get what you want without breaking the bank. Here are some flooring options we adore:
This clean, minimalist powder room packs a punch with decorative, detailed tiles. We personally may add a bit more color to this room, but are definitely digging this tile!
Using warm materials such as this terracotta-like tile and a natural wood vanity gives off a cozy feel. The reddish warm tones provide just enough color to spice up this room while staying true to a vintage farmhouse style.
Ready to take the plunge? We look forward to helping you find the perfect selections to give your powder room a facelift.

Amy
