Some homes just have a way of finding their way back to us.
This one did exactly that.
We were first brought into this home a couple years ago, redesigning a kitchen that became the heart of the space. It was a transformation that set the tone—timeless, warm, and thoughtfully layered. So when the home changed hands and the new homeowners reached out to us, ready to continue the story, it felt like everything had come full circle.
Same house. New people. A completely fresh perspective.
And this time, the vision expanded beyond the kitchen.

THE STORY & THE VISION
Our clients fell in love with the home’s bones—the architecture, the millwork, the natural light—but they were ready to make it feel like theirs. They wanted a main level that felt cohesive, elevated, and effortlessly livable, while still honoring the character that made them fall in love with the home in the first place.
One of the most impactful shifts came from something simple: a fresh coat of paint throughout the main level. Updating the palette instantly brightened the home, softened some of the heavier tones, and created a clean, cohesive backdrop for everything that followed.
From there, the goal was to create continuity from what had already been done, while layering in new personality, softness, and function across the living room, dining room, mudroom, powder bath, and entry.
It wasn’t about starting over. It was about continuing the story… intentionally.
The Kitchen: Where It All Began
While this reveal focuses on the main level transformation, the kitchen is truly where this home’s story with us began.
Redesigned just a few years prior, it set the foundation for everything that followed—and stepping back into the home, it still feels just as impactful.
The space is anchored by stunning Taj Mahal quartzite countertops that extend seamlessly up the backsplash, creating a soft, continuous surface that feels both elevated and timeless. That same material carries through to the apron-front sink and even a built-in ledge detail over the cooktop, adding a level of cohesion that makes the entire kitchen feel thoughtfully designed from every angle.
The kitchen was revitalized with a fresh coat of paint on the perimeter cabinets and updated light fixtures. Additionally, a reconfigured island was installed, offering more functional storage, including a trash pull-out and a paneled dishwasher.
It’s layered, functional, and quietly luxurious in all the right ways.
And while we never formally shared this project the first time around, it feels only fitting to include it now—because this kitchen didn’t just transform the home… it started a relationship that allowed us to come back and continue the story.

Living Room: Where Comfort Meets Intention
The living room became a grounding space for the entire main level. We leaned into warm neutrals, layered textures, and cozy accents.
Custom built-ins flank the fireplace, bringing balance and purpose to the room while offering space for both styling and everyday living. We expanded upon the homeowner’s collection of accessories, which showcase a love for unique, vintage-inspired and antique pieces. Large windows flood the space with natural light, which we accented with custom-made, soft, linen draperies.
Everything in this room was designed to feel effortless, but nothing was left unconsidered.

Dining Room: A Moment of Transition
Just off the main living spaces, the dining room acts as both a connection point and a statement.
We embraced a slightly more elevated, moody feel here—clean lines, a refined lighting moment, and a palette that ties seamlessly into the surrounding spaces while still holding its own. The goal was to create a space that feels just as right for everyday dinners as it does for hosting.
The perfect combination for this space lies in the subtle yet impactful design choices. Wainscoting, color-drenched in Sherwin Williams Mega Greige, pairs beautifully with the warmth of the wood buffet cabinets, while patterned draperies introduce a playful element.

Entryway: First Impressions Matter
The entry sets the tone the moment you walk in, and this one needed to feel welcoming, polished, and intentional.
With good bones in place, we helped curate the finishing touches through accessories, a mirror and a new area rug, creating that “designed but not overdone” feeling. The warm wood tones tie back to the home’s existing trim, while the lighter elements keep it feeling fresh and updated.
It’s the kind of space that quietly says, you’re home.

Powder Bathroom: A Subtle Shift, Big Impact
The powder bath is a perfect example of how small changes can completely transform a space.
We updated the wallpaper to something more suited to the new homeowner’s vintage-inspired aesthetic—still floral, but softer and more refined, bringing in movement without overwhelming the room. Paired with a new mirror, light fixtures and thoughtfully layered accessories, the space now feels lighter, calmer, and more in line with the rest of the home.
It’s understated, but elevated—and proof that you don’t always need a full renovation to create a meaningful shift.

The Full Circle Moment
There’s something incredibly special about working on the same home twice—especially for two completely different families.
The original design laid the foundation. This chapter built upon it, adding new layers, new life, and a new story.
And that’s what great design does.
It evolves. It adapts. It continues.
