Now, in Part 2, we’re diving into some of the most unique and luxurious spaces in this Nantucket-inspired home – an incredible upper-level rec room built to entertain and a collection of showstopping bathrooms, each with its own personality and thoughtful design.

A Primary Bathroom That Feels Like a Spa
The ultimate daily retreat, where soft neutrals, elegant marble, and warm lighting create the ultimate spa-like experience. Working closely with our clients, we designed a built-in soaking tub with a Carrara marble surround for the perfect place to unwind. The spacious walk-in shower, complete with a built-in bench, was a must-have for both comfort and functionality. Every detail, from the polished nickel fixtures to the thoughtfully placed storage, was selected to balance beauty and practicality.

A Spa Bathroom for the Ultimate Escape
This main level secondary bathroom takes relaxation up a notch with a calming color palette and luxurious finishes. This spa bathroom was designed as 4 separate spaces so the bathroom, or vanity, or shower, or sauna could all be used independently, if needed. The stacked ocean blend pebble tile and custom-designed rift-sawn white oak vanity with reeded detailing bring warmth and natural texture to the space. Natural stone countertops were chosen to keep the space as organic as possible. Rope details on the mirror and pendant lights add another whimsical texture and really round out the beautiful features of this room. A warm wood bench with hooks and a tiled backsplash add functionality. Ocean rock accents in the shower and sauna area add a spa-like feel, while the generously sized sauna is big enough for two to lie down—making it the ultimate retreat. Collaborating with our clients and the builders, we ensured that every detail, from the lighting to the tile layout, was executed flawlessly.

A Mudroom & Grand Staircase That Make an Entrance
This home doesn’t just shine in the main living areas – the mudroom and staircase are just as impressive! Located off the lakeside entrance, the mudroom is the perfect landing spot for towels and swim gear in the summer and snow gear in the winter. Just beyond, the grand staircase makes a statement with elegant railings and a combination of white, black and rich wood tones. The result is a seamless blend of beauty and function that ties the whole home together and brings the wow-factor!
A Rec Room & Bar with the Best View in the House
What’s better than a lakefront retreat? A rec room with the best view in the house! Perched on the upper level, this space offers stunning lake views and access to a second-story patio on the lakeside – perfect for taking in the scenery. Designed for entertaining, it features a built-in bar and ample seating, making it the ultimate spot for game nights, family gatherings, or unwinding after a long day. A striking cottage blend stone fireplace surround adds texture and warmth to the space, while two large-scale circular chandeliers and a painted white ceiling bring in that classic Nantucket vibe. One of our favorite details? The built-in window seat that’s perfect for curling up and soaking in the view or watching the storms roll in. Thoughtful lighting and stylish, comfortable furnishings ensure this hangout spot is as inviting as it is elevated.

Two Beautiful Upper-Level Bathrooms
Each of the upper-level bathrooms was designed to reflect the homeowners’ style while maintaining a cohesive feel throughout the home. These rooms will be primarily used by guests, family and grandkids, so we wanted to make them a little more casual and fun. The first features blue-gray cabinetry and elegant tilework, giving it a fresh and inviting feel. The second embraces a more classic look with timeless white finishes and mixed metal hardware. We made material selections that ensured that these bathrooms were not only beautiful but also highly functional, with well-thought-out tile layouts and durable finishes.
