All of the patriotic vibes are on the horizon with Memorial Day and Independence Day coming up. We wanted to share with you a not-so-spoken-of design style, Americana. It’s full of character filled woods, non-typical hues and hints of patriotic pride. Perfect for the holidays ahead!
Rich blues

Blues are an unspoken neutral. Timeless and calming. We love the richness of the hue in these two photos and how they bring a hint of character to the room without being overpowering. In almost all of our designs we implement some sort of blue!

We love the warmth that different woods bring into any home. The latest trends lean towards cool, light woods, but having a hint of warmth is always a vibe. An added bonus is implementing a passed-down family heirloom such as a dresser, or console table, or keeping a home’s original built-ins.

Adding an American flag can sometimes feel too overpowering in a space, but we love how these designs implemented them in a tasteful and striking way. An American flag is as patriotic and Americana as it gets!
plaid love

If we had to choose one pattern that just says, “All American”, plaid is it. We love how these two designs implemented plaid in a subtle way. Having a hint of plaid helps to provide interest and breaks up solids as well, which are a must in interior design!
In one way or another, most American homes have a dash of Americana style without even realizing it. We adore the character and the sense of pride this style brings. As the patriotic holiday season arrives, we wish you and yours a wonderful time celebrating. We owe it all to those who’ve given their lives, time and own personal freedom so that we can have ours.
