Last Thursday, we spent our evening at California Closets’ design studio in Edina, Minnesota. We spent our time sipping wine, touring their showroom and helping our guests envision and design spaces in their homes to be more organized, functional and beautiful.
The team behind the event
Dianna and Catherine from California Closets welcomed us into their design studio for the evening. Amy has worked with Dianna for years on many client projects. We absolutely love working with her and the entire California Closets team. We set-up the presentation area, the vision board workshop tabletops and the beverage and food station. Around 5:30 we started greeting our guests and beginning our evening! Of course, we had snap a few photos of our teams before the night began.
The tour of California closets edina design studio
After we all had a few appetizers and sips of our wine, Dianna led the group through a tour of the design studio. If you haven’t had a chance to walk through a California Closets showroom, it’s a MUST. Their products are gorgeous! A huge selling point for working with California Closets is that they create their organization systems to-size of the space(s) in your home that you’re having them work on. Most people don’t realize how hard that is to come by. For example, you can’t just go to a local home improvement store, like Home Depot or Lowes, and have their closet or organization systems truly fit your home to-size. Every home is different. Every space is different. AND, everyone’s home needs are different. California Closets’ attention to personalization of your needs + the to-size designs = a win in our book.
the presentation
Following the tour, Amy and Dianna shared more about what each business does in the process of making your home dreams a reality. Amy also shared some design tips for not only making your space functional, but beautiful as well. As mentioned, we’ve worked with California Closets numerous times and it’s been a wonderful partnership to have for not only us but, most importantly, for our clients. Having two teams come together that have different sets of knowledge is powerful in the home remodeling process!
the vision board workshop
We ended our evening with a vision board workshop. It was such a joy to help our guests envision their spaces in real time. We had cork boards for each guest to make a vision board of their own by pinning photos of beautifully organized home areas of all sorts (laundry rooms, mudrooms, pantries, you name it!), inspirational quotes about home organization, samples of fabric, paint colors and wallpaper, and more. It was collaborative, fun and the perfect way to end our evening!
To our guests that joined us, thank you. It was a joy to meet each of you and we truly hope to work with you in the near future! To Dianna and Catherine, what a wonderful time putting this event on together. Thank you for your hard work, your expertise, and for allowing us to be in your space for the evening.
Keep on the lookout on our social media and weekly newsletter regarding announcements for upcoming Wine & Design events! Everyone is welcome! We’d love to meet you!
