When you live in Minnesota, it’s no secret that a fireplace is a sought after amenity to your home. These chilly temps have us reminiscing on our favorite fireplaces that we’ve designed so far!
A CUSTOM METAL-WRAPPED FIREPLACE
This stunner is the focal point in our Modern Mountain Hangout project. The custom-wrapped metal brings a modern edge to the space. We love the laid back look of the floating shelves and the simple, yet significant wallpaper from York Wall Coverings as well. They all tie the space together, making the fireplace pop!
A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace
Our Grant Pastures project brings us a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that is simply timeless. We love how the lighter stone pops against the black built-ins. A quick tip – if you plan on doing a lighter fireplace surround, be sure to add some warmth with a wood mantel.
Urban Hideaway
A never before seen fireplace featuring our upcoming project reveal, Urban Hideaway. The elongated subway tiles with muted tones bring texture and personality to the focal point of the room. Warmth is again added by the barn wood mantel.
Amy’s Abode
A few of you may recognize this fireplace! This gorgeous fireplace is Amy’s (the owner of Interior Impressions). She completely remodeled her home, including the space shown. The before and after photos are incredible. You have to see them over at our Amy’s Abode project!
Shiplap + shiplap in the same home
Shiplap done right. We recently had a project check-in over at our client’s home and we are ecstatic with how their fireplaces are coming along! The fireplace on the left, with the pretty tile is in their lower level that has gone from unfinished, concrete slab to a place they’ll love to hang out. The fireplace on the right is in their screened porch and will be perfect for those chilly fall nights!
The reality is that there are so many ways that you can create a fireplace to make it unique to your home and style. We love how each of these have completely made over the spaces they’re in! Which fireplace was your favorite?! We’d love to hear in the comments below.
XO,
Amy and the Interior Impressions Team
