Fall – the time for all things cozy and gathering with those you love most. I believe your home should reflect who you are, but adding in a bit of seasonal decor is always a treat! Decorating for the season is one of my favorite things to do, so we decided to have a fun photoshoot to show you my home decor tips and inpso for fall. If you see anything that’s a must-have, I’ve linked purchasable items at the end of each section so you can easily shop for some fun new autumn accessories! If you see anything you love that is from our showroom, please give us a call to setup an appointment for shopping!
tHE ATTIRE
Fall isn’t fall without a few new wardrobe pieces. A jean jacket is versatile and warm, and goes lovely with this silky skirt that I purchased from One:Nine Boutique in Hudson, WI and the adorable hat (mine is from last season) from Kenzington Boutique with two locations: Hudson, WI and Stillwater, MN. Their inventories are constantly changing, but there’s no doubt you will find the cutest picks regardless of when you shop. I’m so looking forward to wearing these pieces to wineries and orchards this fall!
Front porch
The front porch is the easiest spot to spruce up your home for the season. Add some stalks of wheat, swap your bright florals for deeper foliage and add pillows with moody colors to instantly warm your exterior decor. I swap out my wreath seasonally for a welcoming entrance also.
WHERE TO BUY THE DECOR
Grey striped pillow with faux leather trim – Kirkland’s
Coir door mat from Hearth & Hand – Target
Entryway
Make an impression as soon as you or guests enter your home to set the tone with a fall-scented candle. Add moody-vibe books and accessories to your front entry table as well. Add fall fillers to a bowl for texture. I chose small birch cuttings, but you could use pine cones, acorns, or moss for a nature-inspired look.
WHERE TO BUY THE DECOR
Harvest Leaves candle – HomeGoods last season – but they always have a great selection every year!
Wooden bowl and decorative books – Interior Impressions Showroom
Dining Room
The dining table – the perfect spot to decorate for your fall decor. If you don’t want to decorate your whole home for the season, we recommend decorating at least the front porch and your dining table. You can use your finds throughout the season through Thanksgiving. My favorites to swap out are the dishware, table runner, any florals/foliage you have, and of course, candles. Lately, I’ve been loving a more eclectic, collected look for my table decor, rather than a perfectly symmetrical look. I used different types of candles on each end and I don’t have the same number of items on each side either. My Type A brain typically doesn’t allow me to be so off balance, but somehow this look is making me very happy! #coloringoutsidethelines

Living room
I like to keep the living room decor simple, with a quick change-out of any throw blankets, pillows and for some woodsy decor around the fireplace. I love adding items that will instantly bring warmth to the room without completely changing the entire feel of the space.

Kitchen & Kitchen Table
The kitchen goes hand-in-hand with any dining swaps you’ll make (making this an easy space to decorate!). You don’t have to go over-the-top in order to cozy up the kitchen. Keep it simple by adding a few gourds or natural foliage found right in your back yard. For your kitchen table, I love to implement fall foliage or seasonal fresh flowers. They’re a gorgeous and timeless addition for the time of year. Make sure to swap out your summer bubbly for a lovely red wine, too!
