Happy Weekend! I hope you’re on the water somewhere enjoying a little of the great outdoors! If not, here are some pretty views from our Lakeside Living project that you can enjoy instead 🙂 Part 2 of this project reveal takes you to the lower level of this gorgeous home, as well as the owner’s bedroom, and the beautiful lakeside patio and deck. Cheers to summertime!
deck area
The dining deck is accessed from both the sunroom and the hearth room off of the kitchen. It has fantastic views of Prior Lake and is tucked in just enough to shelter from the wind on a windy day. We brought in some beautiful teak and rattan outdoor furniture to provide the perfect spot for al fresco dining or sunset watching. The dining table even has a built in lazy Susan for family-style meal serving. Pass the burgers, please!
LOWER LEVEL PATIO
The patio off the lower level is a great spot to relax and watch the boats go by. We chose very comfortable furnishings with a lot of character. The rope detail is a favorite of ours and gives just a touch of a nautical feel. The live edge cut log tables are so pretty and bring in a MN woodsy touch.
Lakeside Entrance
This fun boat wallpaper was actually installed by the previous homeowner and we absolutely loved it the minute we saw it! This room is not only a lot of fun, but it is very functional. It serves as a “mudroom” when entering from the lake side of the house. It’s a great place to store beach towels, sunscreen, and anything else you’d want to keep handy. The other side of this room has cabinets and a counter that are perfect for serving food in a sheltered space when having a back yard party. Floating shelves hold wine glasses too, of course! Party at a moment’s notice? No problem! This entire home is set up for entertaining.
LOWER LEVEL LIVING AREA
This lower level family room is where the whole family can hang out and snuggle up and watch movies, or play games together. We brought in a fun game table with swivel stools and drawers to store games. It is such a fun piece! We also gave them the most comfortable sectional you can possibly buy anywhere. This really is the place to relax and unwind at the end of a busy day. The natural – organic elements were brought in to this space with the beautiful wood cocktail table.
OWNER’S BEDROOM
This room provides a lovely retreat. Organic Belgian linen bedding and soft nature-inspired colors make this bedroom feel like a vacation getaway. In additional to the upholstered headboard and cozy bedding, we added gorgeous custom-made pillows to bring in the perfect amount of color and chose green for the highlighted shade in this room. The jumping off point for the color scheme was the amazing chaise lounge chair. This is one of our all-time favorite furniture pieces we have ever used in a project! It’s just SO cool! The view from the window bay is too spectacular to not give it a special place to sit and enjoy it. It’s the special touches that make a house a home.
