As we wrap up two more X-Golf projects in Minnesota, it seems appropriate we finally share the project reveal our second X-Golf project in Brookfield, Wisconsin. See our X-Golf Woodbury project here. Brookfield is a vibrant community just outside of Milwaukee. We understand the desire to keep swinging all year around and X-Golf Brookfield serves the need to keep snow-bound golfers entertained and up to par.
We had a lot of fun working with this owner, who wanted to create a sophisticated yet youthful space for golfers of all ages and skill levels. We went big on custom pieces and finishes to accomplish this look. Our design assistant, Jordan, had the clever idea to create custom booth and bar seating for each golf simulator bay. On the front side is a comfortable cushioned booth seat and cool plaid and leather back rest. The back side has bar seating to hold food and drinks as you play. Each bay can hold up to six golfers and now everyone has a place to relax between rounds. Each booth is wrapped in reclaimed wood to contrast the modern style throughout the rest of the space. In the lounge a custom banquette in beautiful warm faux leather upholstery gives off the classic look you would see in an old school golf clubhouse. Above the open kitchen, our friends at Woodchuck USA made this fantastic custom wood sign, flanked on both sides by industrial style open shelving.
We stayed true to the company’s signature green branding and mixed in our favorite black, white and gold elements throughout, along with warm leather and reclaimed wood. The bar is wrapped in tile that looks like reclaimed wood, making it much more durable and easier to clean! Another custom Woodchuck USA sign hangs on the side of the bar at a service station. A feature green plaid wall displaying vintage golf photos catches guests’ eyes and is the perfect backdrop for group photos. Our team has so much fun finding wallpaper for these X-Golf projects. We went with fun linear wallpapers in both bathrooms, each with a signature green pop of color. Black and white golf club patents are used as themed artwork in the bathrooms.
We had the pleasure of completing four commercial projects in 2019 and we are excited to share them all with you soon! They are a welcome design challenge and opportunity for bigger or more unique creativity compared to our beloved residential projects. We hope to expand this part of our business in the new year.
