Did you see this gorgeous home in last week’s blog post? This light and bright remodel stuns with all of its natural light. This week, we are sharing with you the transformation of this family’s mudroom, powder bathroom, and home office. As you will see, lots of personality was added to these spaces.
MUDROOM
Prior to the remodel, this mudroom had zero storage and was difficult to keep organized. The darker paint color made it feel a little smaller and cramped. The built-ins were designed with storage and functionality in mind, with black hooks that pop and rattan baskets for a color and texture addition. The trim was painted white and a soft vinyl wallpaper that looks like grasscloth was added, bringing color and interest to the walls while still providing fantastic durability for this busy family. This mudroom entrance now is tidy, organized, and has a serene and welcoming feel.
POWDER BATHROOM
There was nothing really special about this powder bathroom before. Now, it’s a wow! A blingy chandelier and bold wallpaper jazzed up the space. The homeowners wanted to update this area without having to remove all of the slate flooring that existed previously. We met the challenge and found a way to bring in a whimsical and bold pop of color that still works with the slate floors. Painting the trim white also brightened everything up. This bathroom is a perfect place to be a little daring and have fun!

HOME OFFICE
Give us ALL of the light and ALL of the animal prints! We had so much fun with this room. This is a nod to our client’s roots of growing up on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma. When she said she’d like to incorporate a little cow print somewhere, we were giddy with excitement! As you can see, this home office is full of personalty and color. There is a cozy corner for reading as well. We had fun layering rugs, adding greenery, and styling the bookcase. When our client does work at home, you can be sure it is done in this fun and colorful space.
Mooving on, we hope you have a bright and sunny weekend! 🙂 Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Interior Impressions team
