“Home For The Girls” was a special project for Amy as she had worked with this family before and absolutely adores them! Family changes can be very difficult, and this family was going through a big change, so it was really important to make this home perfect for three lovely ladies. Their new home was a builder’s model. It had impressive craftsmanship, but lacked a personal touch. Michelle and her 2 daughters are vibrant, fun, and active, so the goal was for the home to reflect their personalities. We did so by adding beautiful color, sparkle, and cozy textures to make the space customized and comfortable. It truly is a wonderful “Home for the Girls”!
FRONT FOYER
When you walk in the front door, you are greeted with rich, dark hardwood floors, a soft and elegant grasscloth wallpaper with a custom built-in bench, and cozy velvet pillows. The alcove was very plain, so we added some pizzazz to give guests a more welcoming entrance and a glimpse into what was to come beyond the foyer. The mirror gallery wall adds class and style, and double duties as a spot to check yourself out before you head out or come in.
INFORMAL DINING ROOM
The informal dining room was kept classic and soft with neutral tones, wood elements, a neutral rug and light fixture with dark accents/pattern to contrast. The tufted backing and nailhead trim on the dining chairs add a dose of feminine to the room.
KITCHEN
A dreamy kitchen island in blue, a sophisticated backsplash that goes all the way up around the vent hood, and the oversized globe pendants are just a few things we love in this space! The custom window treatments pair beautifully with the backsplash. Shaker style cabinets and clean-lined chrome pulls modernize this kitchen.
LIVING ROOM
Two words: cozy & rich. This room is rich in wood tones, texture, and beauty. It is equally as cozy and has a sectional sofa that you will want to sink into at the end of a long day. The fireplace surround chevron tile is a unique and stunning feature and the angled walls above the fireplace add interest.
FORMAL DINING ROOM
That wallpaper, though! The wallpaper is dramatic, but not over-the-top and simply gorgeous. An elegant chrome chandelier was added as well as the grand artwork with glitter details to glamorize the space. The rug was kept neutral to coordinate with the rest of the room.
HOME OFFICE
A simply sophisticated home office where anyone would love to work! The glitz was not missed, as there are mixed metals, crystal, chrome, brass, mirrored elements, and a gorgeous glitter art piece. It is one of our favorite home offices to date.
GIRLS ROOM 1
This room is every inch of adorable! The gold canopy bed is a showstopper! Pink, white, black, and gold = a perfect combination for a girl’s dream bedroom. This lucky girl can lounge in a pink furry bean bag, get homework done at a darling corner desk, or look up from her cozy bed at the blingy chandelier. We’re all jealous!
GIRLS ROOM 2
Equally adorable as the previous bedroom is this bedroom. The black, white and gold carried through, but with blue this time. The soft blue is soothing and serene, and the gold adds a glamorous touch. This bedroom also comes with a comfy, cozy, furry bean bag to chill on.
MASTER BEDROOM
Soothing, inviting, and comfortable are descriptors of the master bedroom. There are subtle patterns in the bedding and window treatments, natural elements such as the wood bead chandelier, the driftwood-looking frames, and the warm textural fabrics. Natural meets glam with mirrored nightstands, mirrored lamps, and a chrome based bench at the end of the bed.
MASTER BATHROOM
A bathroom with coastal flair makes it feel like you’re stepping into a spa. Chrome and crystal hardware blend perfectly with a bright, white vanity, white framed mirror, and the soft blues. A quaint but stylish pendant contrasts with washed wood-like tile.
