FRONT PORCH MINI MAKEOVER
If you are feeling like we do, then you are sick of Minnesota’s never ending Winter. In preparation for a REAL Spring, we decided to come up with fun ideas for freshening up a front porch. Read on to see the themes/styles we came up with!
1. SOUTHERN CHARM
These selections can bring the South to the North. This design ties in Southern elements such as denim, jute fringe, galvanized lanterns, and a cute, Southern saying: “Hey Y’all,” to greet your guests. Can’t you just picture sipping some Georgia sweet tea on that gorgeous loveseat?
2. NAUTICAL
When you want to bring the ocean breeze to your home, you can do so with a Nautical design. The natural love seat with the navy blues bring us to the deep blue sea, aboard a yacht. Grab your sailor’s hat and sail away… to your front porch for a little getaway.
3. MODERN FARMHOUSE
This design was inspired by our favorite: Joanna Gaines! This is where modern meets farmhouse at your front door. The simple, neutral colors keep it fresh and clean. The natural elements, such as the baskets and greenery give it a welcoming and soft look. Plus, your guests will be impressed when your doormat compliments them every time they stop by!
4. BEACHY
Your little oasis awaits you, right outside your door! If you haven’t gotten the hint, this winter has been LONG. Minnesota is ready for warmth, even if we have to envision it. You can do so on this cute, tropical blue couch, sipping on a Mai Tai, or a Virgin Daiquiri. This gives us a cabana feel, with natural elements such as the woven basket lantern and the palm. The blues and greens bring us to a happy place 🙂
5. WHIMSICAL BOHO
Wanderlust comes to mind when looking at this theme. You have global elements, and soothing, yet vibrant colors. Remind your neighbors and friends to bring you some wine, so you can relax on your front porch. This set is versatile, as it could be on a suburban front porch, or in a small, urban backyard – your pick!
6. FRENCH ELEGANCE
Keep it classy and elegant with these French vibes. Test your French when you walk in and out. Stay for awhile in a gorgeous chair, with candles lit in delicate lanterns. Add some bistro lights, and you can enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres any night of the week!
7. CLASSIC CHIC
This classic look stays neutral, but brings in warm, subtle hints of color. The outdoor furniture and rug are extremely versatile, and are easy to match with most exteriors. This look seems to give the most family friendly vibes, and we are loving it. Throw in greenery to ease that transition from indoors to outdoors. A nice wreath is always a great statement piece for your front door.
We hope you enjoyed our ideas! Go fourth in freshening up your front porch, and let’s hope that this increasing warmth will only continue. Thanks for reading!
XO,
Amy
